COWS

We select our cows in a very rigorous way on the following criteria:

  • Capacity in the calving : Wide, long and flat pond

  • Plentiful dairy production

  • Purebred qualities : Meaning head, good confidence, righteousness of the top, sharpness of skin

  • Qualities for butchers : Thickness of the top, the weight of carcass, sharpness of bone for a better yield on the carcass

We try to reduce loads by :

  • Limiting the veterinary interventions

  • Insuring a good dairy production to master the costs of food.

Since  years, we are progressivly introducing the pulled gene in the breeding

 

Curently, about ten females without horn are a part of our herd and all arise from our lineages.
